Geography of Education Policy Analysis Lab

The Intersection of Place and Education Policy

The Geography of Education Policy Analysis Lab (GEPAL) at the University of Kansas is housed under the Center for Research on Education and Work (CREW). GEPAL is dedicated to supporting scholarship that explores the relationship among geography, education policy, and schooling practices. By integrating geographic information systems (GIS), mixed method GIS (MMGIS), and qualitative research, the Lab uncovers how place and space shape and are shaped by educational policy.
